In Memory of Buddy

Dear Dr. Danielle St. Pierre, 
Thank you so much for your dedication and devotion to the care of our dearly beloved pet family members.
Your compassion and tender kindness allowed me to have the last bit of precious time with my dear little buddy, 15, who was the light of our life. 
He is deeply missed, at times almost unspeakable pain.  But we are also at peace with his euthanasia because of your profound skill. 
You patiently held space for our process and guided our last meaningful moments together.  You kindly urged me to spend my after-time with Buddy (while you waited in your car outside on the chilly December day ).   I was able to bless his little inert body, lay him out on his favorite blankets and bundle him up, just as he always liked, to calm him.  I placed flowers, a peanut snack and his favorite teddy for his sendoff to other adventures.
The reverence you hold for honoring the passing of each  light-being heals beyond words and sustains my heart as I face the days ahead alone.
Thank you for everything.  It is not an easy path you have chosen but one that is of the highest calling.
